On Thursday 9th May the Grovelands Childcare Schools Art Competition took place at Aidan Heavey Library in Athlone. During the event the winners were announced and people could see the artwork on display from Athlone’s four secondary schools. The brief was to design and draw a book cover for any play on the school curriculum.
These are the selected top five competition. The winner of the Grovelands Childcare School Art Competition is Katie Hurley from Colaiste Chiáraín. Joint runners up are Miracle Ikwagwu, Oleh Matsal, Katie Lowe and Agnieszka Sokolowska.
The students are from Colaiste Chiarain and Bower.
