Many events happened on 27th April 2024 as part of the Festival Fringe, so many that we named that date “Super Saturday”.
The 27th April marked the first four events of the fringe 2024.
- At 10 am a filmmakers’ script writing workshop at the Aidan Heavey Library.
- At 1pm at Hyde Theatre TUS a network and film showcase free event, all welcome and at 8pm the Athlone Film Festival at IMC Cinema.
- The Luan Gallery’s latest exhibition, ‘Apocalypse Anxieties’.
The Westmeath Filmmakers Collective and The Athlone Film Festival presented a screening of a collection of specially selected short movies from the midlands and the wider country. This screening offered an excellent networking opportunity, to connect Filmmakers, Actors, Dramatists, Musicians, and any Creative person with each other. Thanks to TUS and the RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival for their support.
